Newly-discovered in the Coliseum vault—a plaque honoring Robert Weaver. In
the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s he was the "starter" for all of the track meets at
the Coliseum. After he died in 1949, they put this plaque right near the
starting line for all future races as a tribute. It was put away during some
early 1990’s renovations and just recently re-surfaced.
